  • A/Prof Zoë Doubleday

    Lab Leader

    Zoë is a marine ecologist, science communicator and passionate advocate for accessible science. She loves creative, inter-disciplinary research and supporting the next generation of scientists. Zoë teaches zoology and research methods at Adelaide Uni, and is on the ARC College of Experts. See Zoë's GoogleScholar and LinkedIn profiles for publications and career history.

  • Arielia Tristão Rézio

    PhD Student

    Arieli is undertaking a PhD on developing chemical markers for marine biological application, which a focus on radiogenic isotopes and decapod crustaceans. She has a Master's in fisheries biology from the Federal University of São Paulo (and has a passion for cephalopods!). She is supervised by Zoë Doubleday, Justin Payne, and Ming-Tsung Chung (National Taiwan Uni).

  • Louise Hosking

    PhD Student

    Louise is a former research assistant at MARIS Lab. She is pursuing a PhD with a focus on using sclerochronology for the conservation of threatened and commercially important shark species. Louise is supported by an Elevate Scholarship from the Academy of Technological Science and Engineering and supervised by Zoe Doubleday, Justin Payne, and Bonnie Holmes (Uni Sunshine Coast).

  • Didik Suwarsono

    PhD Student

    Didik is pursuing a PhD in Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) to facilitate sustainable transboundary fishing along the Australia-Indonesia border. He holds a Master of Environmental Management from Flinders University. Didik is supported by an Australia Award funded by the Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade. His PhD research is supervised by Zoë Doubleday, Brianna Le Busque, and Melissa Nursey-Bray.

  • Kaitlyn Rowney

    Honours Student

    Kaitlyn completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wollongong. She recently submitted her Honours investigating the use of chemical fingerprints in crustacean shells (gastric ossicles) to understand movement and population structure. Kaitlyn is now writing up her thesis as a publication.

  • Neve Skinner

    PhD Student

    Neve is undertaking a PhD and investigating the distribution and population biology of invasive pearl oysters in Spencer Gulf, South Australia. Neve is principally supervised by Craig Styan and co-supervised by Zoe Doubleday.

  • Beth Jackel

    PhD Student

    Beth is investigating the trophic ecology of the famous giant Australian cuttlefish in South Australia, which come together in their 1000s to breed in Spencer Gulf. Beth is principally supervised by Ryan Baring (Flinders Uni), and co-supervised by Lauren Meyer and Zoe Doubleday.

  • Xiaoni Wu

    PhD Student

    Xiaoni is investigating how to better optimise agrifood supply chains for sustainability, including seafood. Xianoi is principally supervised by Li Meng and co-supervised by Zoe Doubleday, Ady James, and Gerald Cheang.
